Hi, we're Mel and Brenton

the siblings behind Yarra Valley Oktoberfest

It all started eight years ago, when I (Mel) thought it would be cool to bring the Munich beer halls to Lilydale, the town where we grew up.

Seven festivals later, we're proud to continue the annual tradition. But we could not have done it without our family and friends who support us every year, and our loyal patrons for bringing the spirit to the event. So thank you!

Each year we stay true to our ideals, of creating an accessible event, minimise single use plastics, use biodegradable cups, partner with Humanitix who donate the booking fees to charities to help disadvantages children, support local vendors and musicians and keep the patron experience at the forefront of our decision making.

We hope can join us at the eighth event on Sat 25 October 2025, to enjoy a drink with friends, and feel the passion.
